The Batavia Historical Society dedicates countless hours cataloging and documenting Batavia's rich history, but their old website had been put aside and forgotten in time. They came to us to remedy that problem. We first did our own research and took photos of the Batavia Depot Museum. The museum is base of operations for the Historical Society, as well as where all of their artifacts are housed. Using the photos we took, we created a modern website for the Batavia Historical Society that they can use to inform others of the wonderful history and culture of Batavia.
Since the Historical Society operates out of the Depot Museum, there tends to be confusion between the two organizations. So, we also developed a new logo for the Batavia Historical Society. We combined the familiar location of the Depot Museum, with Batavia's most notable claim to fame, the windmill, and forged a new logo. The Batavia Historical Society now has its own distinct identity.
